The Centre of Islamic Finance and FinTech (CIFFT) was established at NED University of Engineering and Technology as a result of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NED University and Meezan Bank Limited, Pakistan’s leading Islamic bank. This collaboration aimed to create a pioneering academic and research platform that bridges the worlds of technology, finance, and Shariah-compliant innovation
Meezan Bank’s industry leadership in Islamic finance, combined with NED’s academic strength in engineering and technology, provided the foundation for CIFFT’s creation. The partnership envisions preparing the next generation of professionals who can navigate the rapidly evolving FinTech landscape through the lens of Islamic financial principles and ethical innovation.
